I'm Scott. I'm a wedding & portrait photographer and photography instructor. My office is based out of Joplin, Missouri, but I shoot regularly throughout Northwest Arkansas, Southwest Missouri, and Southeastern Kansas, and shoot weddings throughout the world. I think that's pretty dang cool.
Most notably my work has been used in MPIX ad campaigns featured in Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine, and I've been a contributing author in Rick Sammon's book, "Digital Wedding Photography Secrets." I enjoy teaching photography very much as well, I've been privileged to work with MPIX and Miller's Lab throughout my career teaching several different workshops, and for the last several years I've been invited to teach at Pitt State's Perspectives of Photography Seminar.
While all of those things are very exciting, the most rewarding aspect of my job is making images that my clients LOVE. It doesn't get any better than that.
I've got an incredible wife and two amazing girls. My dog is awesome. His name is Capone....you know, like the infamous American gangster. I'm an Apple Nerd. I've grown to have a bit of addiction for the gym. Making my wellness a priority and seeing results is something I'm quite proud of.
I enjoy music a lot. I listen to a lot of blues and laid back music from artists like John Mayer, Jack Johnson, G Love, and the late, great B.B. King. I watch Ghost Adventures and The Deadliest Catch like a little kid watches Disney movies.
I bleed purple and gold.
